Eagle Idaho is a small community 9 miles west of the capital city Boise. This family friendly town is nestled along the Boise river. Numerous subdivisions dot the area, many bordering local golf courses like Banbury and Eagle Hills. Real estate in Eagle range from the low $200k to multi-million dollar estates. Downtown Eagle retains its historical flavor and charm (no high rises here!) with numerous public art displays Eagle is a very pleasant walkable town. The Eagle Historical Museum is located in the heart of downtown. Eagle is very accessible town, you can walk just about everywhere. Every June Eagle hosts Eagle Fun Days a 2 day event featuring amusement rides, pancake breakfast, rodeo, live music and the ever popular wet and wild parade where spectators are encouraged to participate. The weekend is finished of with the Eagle volunteer fire departments famous Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed. This southern Idaho area is becoming known for its wine making. The Woodriver Winery is available for tastings, private parties, weddings and often has live music to enjoy on warm summer evenings Outdoors activities are important to all area residences and Eagle is no exception, from riding bikes or roller blading on the green belt along the river to hiking in the foothills to enjoying the local parks. The newest addition is the brand new Guerber Park with picnic facilities and playground. Merrill park has picnic and play ground facilities as well. Both of which can be booked for private parties by calling city hall (208.939.6813) Downtown Eagle is also the host of the Saturday Market open May through October featuring local produce, arts, jewelry and live entertainment. For the last Thursday of the month participating Eagle merchants feature local artists and in-store specials. This runs March though October and a free trolley will give you a lift to the participating businesses. Rembrandt's Coffee House and The landing Community Center offer many activities from Jazz Night to Movie Night throughout the year. |
