Yen Ching ~ 305 N. 9th 384-0384 a downtown institution for as long as I can remember, decent prices and the best dry green beans in town. Bardenay ~ 610 W. Grove Boise (Basque block) and 155 E. Riverside Dr (by the river) Both restaurants have great patios. Boise = people watching, Eagle = wildlife (on a resent trip to the Eagle restaurant I saw a Blue Heron the size of a small Pterodactyl take off!). Grove (Linen District) fun food in a funky atmosphere. Great steaks (and sea food) plus great live Jazz every night.
